As a native Kansan, I’m elated to have a long needed new stadium. As much as I love Arrowhead, it is an old stadium and a pain to get to. This is fantastic news.
That being said, when I think of all the magical times I’ve had at that place, I can’t help but to be a little heartbroken for myself and my KCMO friends that are our kin. I remember eating sloppy joes out of a cooler watching Todd Blackledge get destroyed, I was at the Rain Game, I saw Grbac to Rison, I got to sit in the owners box and watch my friend T Rich get inducted into the Ring of Honor and I’ve had my heart ripped out more times than I wish to count. And the memories (or lack thereof🤣🍻🍻🍻) of that parking lot will forever be part of who I am. Getting lit at 6am, eating more BBQ than should be legal, laughing with friends, then getting your war face on and every man, woman and child going absolutely bat s**t berserker for the next 3 hours are experiences that make you a Kansas Citian. There’s no state line in the Chiefs Kingdom.
I never really cared that they were in Missouri because I loved them. Missourians won’t care they are in Kansas for the same reason. WE are the Kansas City Chiefs Kingdom

The work is just beginning, but we’re excited to bring our vision to life with the State of Kansas in 2031.

Directions to 40th Avenue in New York can be accessed by public transport or driving. For public transport, take the subway to Queens Plaza or Queensboro Plaza Station and then transfer to the Q102 bus which will get you there. Alternatively, take Bus Q39, Q66 or Q67 which also stop at 40th Avenue.

For driving, take the Long Island Expressway (LIE) to exit number 13 for Van Dam Street towards Greenpoint Ave. After that, turn onto Review Ave and then make a right onto 40th Ave. There is street parking available around the area but it can be limited during peak hours. Parking garages are also located nearby for paid parking options.
