We are in love with this tempe from . Look at how beautiful that looks! And the taste! 😋 Tempe is used in so many Indonesian dishes and is an essential ingredient for us. Tempe is fickle to make and we’ve tried many kinds here in the United States. Very excited to have finally found a maker that does it so well.

To get to the Indonesian restaurant, take the subway to the Lower East Side neighborhood in Manhattan. Get off at the Delancey/Essex Street Station and head south toward Broome Street. Alternatively, if you're driving, take the FDR Drive and exit at Grand Street. Find parking nearby or use a parking garage in the area. Once you've parked, walk south on Allen Street until you reach the restaurant.
