What people say

Chinese restaurants are known for their delicious and diverse cuisine, and Kings Co Imperial on Skillman Avenue in New York is no exception. This 65-seat restaurant offers a unique take on Central Chinese classics using fresh ingredients, many of which are grown in their own on-site heirloom Chinese vegetable garden. The owners, Josh Grinker and Tracy Jane Young, have extensive knowledge and love for Chinese cuisine and culture, having traveled extensively throughout China.

One of the standout features of Kings Co Imperial is their small batch, hand-crafted soy sauce that is made exclusively for the restaurant by their partner company Kings Co Soy Works in Brooklyn. This sauce is served via a tap at the bar and adds an extra layer of flavor to the already delicious dishes.

The menu at Kings Co Imperial is served family-style, encouraging diners to share and enjoy each other's company while indulging in mouth-watering dishes such as Wok-Seared Long Dumplings filled with pork, garlic stems, and red vinegar; Crispy White Radish Cake made with fresh soaked rice, daikon radish, lap chuang sausage, and shrimp served with rock-sugar sweetened oyster sauce; and Prawn Fries with Chinese Ketchup.

Overall, Kings Co Imperial offers a unique dining experience that celebrates the convivial nature of Chinese cuisine while incorporating fresh ingredients and hand-crafted sauces. It's definitely worth checking out if you're looking for a delicious meal in New York City.
