This has been the most devastating week as our ability to provide for our staff and community has become nonexistent. The coronavirus pandemic has shaken our industry in ways we could have never imagined.⠀

Over the past few days, we had to lay off over 150 employees from Acme, Tijuana Picnic, The Happiest Hour, Slowly Shirley, and Ray’s. For years, these individuals have served our communities, delivering joy and comfort with their hospitality- working with them has been the greatest experience of my life.⠀

Our people are the lifeblood of our organization. Though we hope the closure is temporary, it is an abrupt and severe disruption to the lives of our team members and how they provide for themselves and their families. ⠀

We are looking for any and all ways to continue to support them as much as we can through these stressful and uncertain times. We are calling on our friends and family, our neighbors, dear regulars, and those in our communities to assist in any way possible. Please consider making a donation if you are able. Every dollar counts. 100% of the proceeds will be donated directly to our team members. All contributions over $100 will receive a free ticket to our re-opening celebration- date TBD of course. ⠀

We know we cannot only depend on your generosity or other temporary solutions. As others have done, we are also calling on our government to provide leadership and emergency relief packages for restaurant and bar workers. We can’t do this alone.⠀

We thank you all in advance for your loyalty and support. We hope to be seeing you again soon.
