This snowstorm became an opportunity for my son-son, Darius, to serve our community by shoveling and wiping off cars—no expectations, no payment, just a willing heart.
The best part wasn’t what was done, but who was met…
New neighbors, meaningful conversations, and the chance to share the Good News.
We teach our youth that it’s not about what you receive in return, because the blessings from the Almighty will always supersede what man could ever do.
God is so good—all the time.

Serving Our School & Community This Thanksgiving
Today was a beautiful reminder of why we do what we do. Nana’s Love had the honor of serving our school and our community, and my heart is truly full.
A huge shout-out to everyone who took the time to make this event amazing — from the organizers to the volunteers, staff, parents, and every helping hand who showed up with love and service in their hearts.
It was great seeing some near and dear familiar faces — your support, your smiles, and your presence made the day even more special.

To get to the restaurant on Guy R Brewer Boulevard in Jamaica via public transport, take the Subway E line to Jamaica Center and transfer to the Q111 bus towards Rosedale. Get off at the stop closest to the restaurant.
If driving, take the Belt Parkway and exit at Lefferts Boulevard. Turn left onto Farmers Blvd and then right onto Baisley Blvd. Continue straight until you reach Guy R Brewer Boulevard, where the restaurant is located.
There is street parking available near the restaurant, but it can be limited during peak hours. Alternatively, there are several paid parking lots in the surrounding area.

Nana's Love on Guy R Brewer Boulevard is a must-visit restaurant for anyone who loves delicious empanadas. The signature empanadas are a standout, and the homemade sauces are the perfect complement to each bite. But what really sets Nana's Love apart is their commitment to innovation. They recently introduced a new Veggie Empanada called Vangie's Veggie, which features Chinese-style stir-fry with vegan-based sauce. And if you're lucky enough to catch them on the right day, you might be able to try Brenda's Burger Con Queso Empanda or Maryjane Lobster and Lump Crab (although these sell out quickly!). The team at Nana's Love is also deeply involved in the community, as evidenced by their recent participation in the JFK Redevelopment Community Advisory Council Meeting. Overall, Nana's Love is a fantastic restaurant that offers both great food and a welcoming atmosphere.
