Yesterday, we had the opportunity to host a few students from .
They spent the afternoon with Chef Chintan Pandya, this year’s CCAP Mentor of the Year, in a Q&A that got into the reality of the industry, giving them the opportunity to ask anything they wanted.
After, and the Dhamaka team put out a multi-course lunch. The kind of food we cook every day, it an opportunity to show the students all the regional and specific dishes.
It was a great time hosting the future of the industry, thank you to the team! 🔪

“This dish is all about restraint. With too much cream you’ll lose the true essence of it, turning it into something closer to an Alfredo and drowning out the natural sweetness of the crab. You want to see the pockets of fat. Control the heat, and let the fat do the work.” - Chef Neel

What people say
Indian restaurants are known for their rich and diverse flavors that tantalize the taste buds. Dhamaka, located on Delancey Street in New York, is a prime example of an Indian restaurant that delivers on this promise.
One of the standout features of Dhamaka is their commitment to innovation. They recently launched a new brunch menu that takes inspiration from the local streets of India, offering a unique and exciting dining experience for customers. And with reservations exclusively available via their website, it's easy to secure a spot at this popular eatery.
But it's not just about the food at Dhamaka - they also have a strong social conscience. The restaurant has been involved in the food rescue movement since 1982, rescuing and delivering nutritious food to help feed millions of New Yorkers experiencing food insecurity. This dedication to giving back to the community is truly admirable.
Dhamaka has also received recognition from industry experts, including being featured on Discovery as "unapologetic Indian" cuisine that tastes amazing. With such high praise, it's no wonder that Dhamaka has become a go-to destination for those seeking authentic Indian cuisine in New York.
Overall, Dhamaka offers an exceptional dining experience with delicious food, innovative menus, and a strong commitment to social responsibility. It's definitely worth checking out if you're looking for an unforgettable Indian dining experience in the heart of New York City.
