It’s up and running ! Thirteen years after opening Kimchee Market in front of the Kimchee Factory as a stunt, which unexpectedly took on a life of its own, Chul finally opened his farm store in Taghkanic, NY, where he now spends much of his time
More than a decade spent building relationships with farmers and vendors throughout the Hudson Valley led him and his longtime friend Alex to open a small farm store!
The farm store is located on the same property as his brother’s wine shop, which Chul opened three years ago. Chul previously established a well-loved wine shop in Williamsburg, Brooklyn, 15 years ago

Opened January 3 by Alejandra and Peter Stewart in partnership with restaurateur Chul Kim, the market blends everyday essentials with a curated mix of Hudson Valley farm products and global pantry staples. Shelves include local products like Ronnybrook dairy and Kinderhook Farm meats alongside specialty ingredients like preserved lemons and za’atar.
