Arnold Wilkerson came to New York City to be an actor after training at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Arts—but between auditions, he started baking pies in his tiny apartment, inspired by his grandmother.
He began selling them to friends… then friends of friends… until the buzz reached Barbara Costikyan at New York Magazine, who tried his Sour Cream Apple Walnut and wrote: “Buy, buy, this American pie.”
