As some of you may have seen, we recently shared an update about the situation unfolding at our beloved flagship location in the West Village.
Since then, the outpouring of love and support has been overwhelming. So many of you have reached out to me personally, sent us heartfelt messages, shared your stories, and stood beside us during an incredibly difficult time. Some of you even took the initiative to create a petition to help save our home.
We truly cannot put into words how grateful we are to have such an incredible community behind us. ❤️
Many of you have also been asking whether we will be open on Monday, October 12, 2026.
And the answer is YES! ❤️
We recently received encouraging news that the court has granted us a temporary stay while our appeal moves forward, giving us the opportunity to continue fighting for the place we’ve called home for the past decade.
Our greatest hope is to remain in the very same space where Taco Mahal was born, through the end of our lease in February 2036, and hopefully for many more years to come.
While the future is still uncertain, one thing is certain: we are not giving up on the home, the memories, and the community we’ve spent the last 10 years building.
Whatever happens, we promise to keep you updated every step of the way. We will also add the link of the petition that our neighbors started in our bio.
From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for your love, your encouragement, and for believing in Taco Mahal.
