The lockdown 2020, an anniversary. Never too late for memories. Eternally grateful for this posse of friends and old colleagues who kept us continuously open through a pandemic and cultivated this magical pod and to the people who stayed in NYC and ordered food and drinks from M. We installed a neon sign six years after we opened M. Wells, inspired by a close friendship we forged with LIC-based neon, glass and lighting artist Kenny Greenberg (also it helped folks find our front door).
This week we got back to Krypton Neon, where Kenny can burn and bend anything from your dreams. As he describes it, the cryogenic freezing of air boils off and captures different gases at their characteristic (sub zero) temperatures. Argon with a droplet of mercury produces blue and ultraviolet light. A phosphor mix on the inside surface of the glass absorbs that light and transforms it to the golden color.
We love neon for its power and longevity. Its warm handcrafted, beautiful, energy-efficient glow radiates in all directions and unconditionally smiles upon the street.
Authentic neon lighting is becoming rare and the fabricators even more so making Kenny an extraordinarily special artist. Thank you for continuing to make history. Xo M. Wells

Dock to Dish consistently rocks our world in such an awesome way. Thanks for the world class product from local waters. This weekend (Sunday-Monday) we will feature their bounty: Mackerel with a little fresh tomato garlic olive oil and tequila, Tuna Tartare a la M. Wells, Monkfish Cordon Bleu stuffed and wrapped with mashed potatoes and Cod Cacciatore with four types of sweet peppers, white wine and more.

Come see what you find at our four-day long Garage Sale. Today through Saturday, August 6-9 from 2 to 7pm we open the garage gates to a collection of some of our acquired and saved restaurant equipment, glassware, ceramics, smallwares, furniture, teak tables, bespoke decor, all of it wrapped up in a whole lot of fun. Look for the all-ages craft table up front, sit back and take in the perpetual projector showing wild images of a bygone Long Island City. You can’t miss us at 45-22 Vernon Blvd.

Herbs for this week’s menu … stoked to be hosting Sundays and Mondays into August . It’s such a great crew … everyone’s friends, family and/or a neighbor and they really represent! We love that deck hat. Looks so good. Order it on our site and check out the updated menu before service tomorrow Sunday at 5 (until 10).

To get to Crescent Street in New York by public transport, you can take the subway to the Queensboro Plaza station and then transfer to the 7 train towards Flushing. Get off at the 33rd/Rawson Street station and walk south on Crescent Street.
If you're driving to Crescent Street, there are several parking options available. There is a parking lot located on 38th Avenue between 11th and 12th Streets, street parking is also available along Crescent Street and surrounding streets. However, be sure to check for any posted parking restrictions or metered areas.
