To be honest, I was waffling on doing this one again but then I realized that no matter what is going on in the world Canada, Mexico, and the United States are the Three Amigos of North America and we just can’t quit each other no matter what some people might say. I’m a proud Canadian, I’ve made my living in the United States since 1992, and one of my favorite places in the world is Mexico. And I’m not alone.
So let’s celebrate our solidarity with a celebration! We’re going to draw up a pact made of party food and sign it with beer! The fact that it falls on the real Canada Day this year just makes it even more important that we seal our friendship with a Bloody Caesar! Tickets are $100 and go on sale June 1st at resy.com

I am going to Istria, Croatia this fall. This is a bucket list trip for me. From 10/13-10/19 I plan on eating and drinking my way across this beautiful area. I hope you all will be able to join me on this adventure. There is nothing I like more than traveling with new and old friends.

Romanesco!! It’s the first time we have used this funny looking green cauliflower. And it won’t be the last! We marinade the romanesco in lots of orange juice with a ton of dried chili peppers and garlic. It’s then dredged in a batter and deep fried until super crunchy. It’s topped with Mexican oregano and caper salsa verde and lots of creamy slices of avocado. Consider this dirt candy’s version of avocado toast.

Italian sunshine on a plate! Asparagus and lasagna are the perfect combination. was tasked with creating something out of asparagus and he went above and beyond with this dish. Herbs, asparagus, cheese, yellow tomatoes and some asparagus bolognese! I promise you this is edible ☀️. It’s helping to make this dreary spring we are having a little less dreary.

The Fennel Roll! Caramelized fennel and olives stuffed into a soft swirly roll. Shaved hazelnuts and raw fennel salad. The dish is finished with 🌈 citrus sprinkles and fermented citrus purees. had an inkling of an idea and she turned it into this amazing reality! 🌈

Cucumber, Seaweed Caviar and Creme Fraiche go together like peanut butter and jelly. It’s just a perfect combination. was inspired by Key Lime Pie but then took it in a whole new direction that really focused on bringing out the caviar and cucumber flavor. Basically springtime joy in pie form.🥒🥒🥒🥧🥧🥧💚💚💚

When first mentioned that she was thinking about turnip for the winter dessert, I was a little bit skeptical (who am I kidding, I was a lot skeptical). I should have trusted her. I should always trust her! This turnip dessert is unreal. Mind-blowing but completely comforting in all the ways a dessert should be. Fourless chocolate cake, turnip orange confit, olive oil and tahini sorbet and finished with za’atar crumbles. you are a magical pastry chef💖

This is one of the coolest desserts has ever made for dirt candy. It’s an Eggplant Oyster (it pops in your mouth) in a Chocolate Oyster Shell with Miso Glazed Eggplant-Chocolate Mousse, Yuzu-Kombu Granita and Raspberry “Mignonette”. Just absolutely brilliant. Rachel is one of the most extraordinarily talented pastry chefs and everyday I feel pretty damn lucky that she chooses to work with us. 🍆♥️ 🍫
