If you're using public transport, take the subway to the 28th Street Station and walk for a few blocks towards East 26th Street. Alternatively, you can take a bus to Madison Avenue/East 26th Street stop and walk for a minute or two to get there.
If you're driving, you can use East 26th Street from either direction as it's a two-way street. Look out for parking spaces adjacent to the ice cream shop or parlor, but be sure to check any posted signage for time limitations. If there's no available street parking, there are several paid parking lots nearby that you can use.
