The Mussels at Tavern: Growing up eating at classics like Randazzo’s and Bamonte’s, I loved the Zuppa di pesce served in a thin tomato broth. For our version, I wanted to introduce the depth of Spanish flavors by incorporating ’nduja. As it melts into the broth, the result is a deeply complex spicy dish. It’s an homage to those Italian roots, served with crusty bread and remains one of my personal favorites on the menu. - Billy

To get to the restaurant at Van Brunt in New York, you can take the subway to Carroll Street Station or Smith-9th Street Station and then walk south along Van Brunt Street. If you prefer to drive, you can take the Brooklyn Queens Expressway (I-278) and take exit 26 towards Hamilton Avenue. Then turn left onto Lorraine Street and right onto Van Brunt Street. Parking may be available on nearby streets or there are paid parking lots in the area.
