Motivational Monday ✨

Honor what came before you, but don’t let old fears, inherited doubts, or other people’s ceilings become your blueprint.

Take what strengthened you. Release what restricted you. Then build something bigger — for yourself, for your family, and for everyone coming after you.

That’s freedom. That’s responsibility. That’s legacy. 🧡

Happy Father’s Day to the fathers, father figures, grandfathers, uncles, mentors, and men who lift our children higher.

Thank you for the love that protects, the strength that steadies, the wisdom that guides, and the joy that makes a child feel like they can fly.

Today, we celebrate you. 🧡

This is what it’s all about. 🧡

One of my greatest privileges is getting to celebrate life’s big moments with our community — birthdays, graduations, homecomings, wins, milestones, and everything in between.

Congratulations to ’s sons on their middle school graduation! Watching families gather around the table, love on each other, and mark these special moments is exactly what makes Melba’s feel like family.

Thank you for letting us be part of the celebration. Harlem village, always. 🎓

One year without my Anne.

Some friendships become family so naturally, you forget there was ever a time before them. Anne was that for me — my sister, my Salt-N-Pepa partner, my truth-teller, my laugh-until-your-sides-hurt kind of friend.

Grief changes shape, but love does not. I still feel her in the little things — a memory, a joke, a song, a table full of people, a moment that would have made her laugh.

Anne, you are missed beyond words and loved beyond time.

Forever my sister. Forever Salt-N-Pepa. 🤍
