ayat.nyc Ayat NYC is a Middle Eastern restaurant and caterer located on Cortelyou Road. The establishment highlights the stark contrasts between how tools of construction are utilized in different parts of the world, particularly reflecting on the use of bulldozers in Texas versus Palestine. This poignant juxtaposition serves as a reminder of the restaurant's commitment to creation and community rather than destruction. Ayat NYC is actively working towards expanding its presence, with plans for a new location in Philadelphia facing delays due to the complexities of permit approvals. The restaurant also engages with its community through social media, sharing updates and celebrating various cultural holidays.

WE ARE THROWING A FREE COMMUNITY DINNER FOR THE PUBLIC.

This Friday, we gather again.

Join us for a special community dinner, in honor of Hind Rajab.... a 6-year-old Palestinian girl whose story touched hearts across the world.

This night is about more than dinner. Itโ€™s about showing up for one another. About community, compassion, conversation, and remembering our shared humanity in a city that can sometimes make us forget it.

Whether you come with friends, family, or alone, there will always be a seat waiting for you at our table.

To every student graduating this month, congratulations.

People see the cap and gown, the photos, the celebration. But they donโ€™t see the nights you questioned yourself. The moments you felt behind. The pressure of carrying expectations while still trying to figure out who you even are.

College is a lot like life itself. You enter it young, uncertain, and carrying pieces of yourself you donโ€™t yet understand. Along the way, some people walk with you forever, and some are only meant to teach you a lesson before they disappear. There were semesters that felt light, and others that felt like survival.

And graduation? Graduation is not just relief from exams and deadlines. Itโ€™s the feeling of finally coming up for air after holding your breath for years. Like a traveler crossing a desert, exhausted and sunburnt, finally seeing water in the distance. Not because the journey is over, but because they now realize they were always stronger than they thought.

This degree is more than paper. Itโ€™s proof that even when life felt heavy, you kept walking.

And through all of it, never forget to be thankful. Because somewhere in the world, someone wishes they could wear that gown. Someone wishes they had the chance to sit in a classroom, to open a textbook, to chase an education instead of worrying about survival. What became normal to you is still someone elseโ€™s prayer.

May your next chapter bring you peace, purpose, and people who love you for who you are becoming. And may you never forget that some of the most beautiful beginnings come disguised as endings. ๐ŸŽ“

with respect and admiration,

From neighborhood streets to helping shape moments that will represent NYC to the world.

Honored to be part of co sponsoring the Mayorโ€™s Fund World Cup initiative for New York.

The World Cup is bigger than soccer.
Itโ€™s about people.
Culture.
Community.
And showing the world the spirit of New York.

Millions of visitors will step into our city, and as New Yorkers, we know what it means to welcome people with warmth, energy, and pride.

A beautiful reminder that no matter where we come from, this city always finds a way to bring people together under one roof.

Excited for whatโ€™s ahead for our city. โšฝ๏ธ๐Ÿ—ฝ

They saw a headline. We see a childโ€™s name representing the millions of children oppressed world wide .

A place named in memory of a 5 year old child killed in a genocide with 350+ bullets and somehow the outrage is directed at the restaurant instead of the loss itself.

"The sheer volume of victimhood is so thick you could choke on it." -Abier khatib

We will keep cooking with dignity.
We will keep honoring memory.
We will keep telling the truth through food.
