The Golden Krust story began in 1989 with founder Lowell Hawthorne and his siblings pooling their resources and opening the original location in the Bronx at 1381 East Gun Hill Road. This location is still going strong over 34 years later. The restaurant reopened after extensive renovations, upgrading the interior to match newly opened restaurants.
