The Golden Krust story began in 1989 with founder Lowell Hawthorne and his siblings pooling their resources and opening the original location in the Bronx at 1381 East Gun Hill Road. This location is still going strong over 34 years later. The restaurant reopened after extensive renovations, upgrading the interior to match newly opened restaurants.

To get to the Jamaican restaurant and fast food restaurant on East Gun Hill Road in New York, you can take the 2 train to the Gun Hill Road station and walk east for a few blocks. Alternatively, you can take the BX28 or BX30 bus to Eastchester Road and walk north for a few blocks. If you are driving, there is street parking available nearby but it may be limited during busy times.
