The Mermaid Inn offers a casual New England fish shack vibe that is both stylish and warm. From the moment you step inside, you'll feel right at home. The menu features a wide variety of seafood dishes, from classic clam chowder to lobster rolls and everything in between. Each dish is made with the freshest ingredients and expertly prepared by the talented chefs.
But what sets The Mermaid Inn apart from other seafood restaurants is their commitment to their employees. During the COVID-19 pandemic, they made the difficult decision to close their doors in order to protect the health of their staff and guests. However, they didn't forget about their employees who were left without financial support. They started a GoFundMe campaign to raise money for their most vulnerable employees who have families to care for and limited resources during this unprecedented time.
In addition, The Mermaid Inn also adapted quickly by offering takeout and delivery services during dinner service in response to city-mandated cuts to restaurant capacity.
