2. From the south: Take I-278 E towards Brooklyn/Queens Expressway. Continue onto I-478 N/Brooklyn Battery Tunnel and take the exit toward Downtown Manhattan/FDR Drive/NY-9A N/I-478 N/Battery Park Underpass/West St/West Side Hwy. Merge onto West St and continue straight to stay on West St until you reach FDR Drive S slip road on your right. Merge onto FDR Drive S and take exit 10 for E 49th St toward UN Headquarters/2 Ave/East River Greenway. Turn left onto E 49th St and then turn right onto Lexington Ave to reach East 42nd Street.
