the sweetest holiday memories don’t come from gifts…
they come from the little moments we create with our hands.
This year, I wanted to do something different for my family.
Instead of making the usual holiday desserts,
I decided to build tiny Christmas stories out of food.
A teddy bear made from mandarins and raspberries…
a cozy little house built from crackers and cheese…
a snowy Christmas tree made from mozzarella and cherry tomatoes…
and a charcuterie tree with salami curls and cheddar cubes tucked in between.
Nothing fancy.
Nothing expensive.
Just simple ingredients, a little creativity, and a whole lot of love.
But the magic wasn’t in the food.
It was in the reaction.
My kids’ eyes widened like they were seeing Christmas for the first time.
My family kept saying:
“Wait… you MADE this?!”
And the platters disappeared faster than I expected.
And in that moment, I realized something…
We all try so hard to make the holidays perfect.
The perfect tree.
The perfect gifts.
The perfect dinner.
But sometimes…
it’s the small, unexpected things
that become the moments everyone remembers.
If you want the step-by-step to recreate any of these Christmas platters,
just comment RECIPE and tell me which one you want first:
the fruit teddy bear, the Christmas house,
the Caprese tree,
or the charcuterie tree.
And if this inspires you,
save it so you can try it with your family.
Who knows…
maybe this will be the memory your kids never forget.
