This New Year’s Day, Chef Foster invites you to the table for a breakfast rooted in Jamaican tradition, comfort, and quiet celebration — the kind of meal meant to be enjoyed slowly, with the sea nearby and nowhere else to be.

From ackee & saltfish and mackerel rundown simmered in coconut cream, to jerk chicken & waffles drizzled with sorrel scotch bonnet syrup, every dish is a nod to home, heritage, and starting the year well nourished.

Lighter favourites like our fruit & granola parfait, fluffy eggs omelet with local fillings, and ackee & smoked marlin scramble round out a menu designed for both indulgence and ease.

Our classic veranda is open, the breeze is gentle, and we are ready to welcome you back. 🌞✨

We took a few days after the storm to care for our team — making sure everyone had warm meals, comfort, and support. Chef Foster cooked from the heart, just as he always does, and together we made sure our staff felt held during the aftermath.

Our entire team is safe, and we’re helping many repair the damage to their homes. And now, as we look forward, we know how important it is for guests to return. Tourism is what helps Jamaica rebuild, recover, and rise — one day, one family, one meal at a time.

We may have made it through with minimal damage, but Jamaica is hurting. Our hearts and prayers remain with our brothers and sisters in the western parishes who were struck so painfully and are still finding their footing.

So if you’re wondering how we are — we’re here.

The Cottonwood tree that so many of you know — our symbol of strength and grace — stood tall through the storm, reaching for the light. 🌳

Like her, we’re standing strong and moving forward with gratitude and heart. 💛

We’re happy to share that Christopher’s Restaurant will reopen tomorrow — 11 AM to 4 PM. Our team has poured so much love into preparing the space, and we can’t wait to welcome our Jamaican family and friends back around the table. 🇯🇲

For now, we’ll be open during the day only. With limited light and some roads still partially blocked, our first priority is ensuring our staff can get home safely before nightfall. 🌅

There’s no easy way to find words after a storm like this. 💔

We are deeply grateful — Christopher’s is safe.
Minimal damage, all repairable. 🙏🏽
Our team is already hard at work, and we’ll be ready soon come.

But our hearts are heavy for our Jamaican brothers and sisters — especially in St. Elizabeth, St. James, Black River, and parts of Montego Bay — where homes, schools, and lives have been devastated.

There’s a certain guilt in being spared when so many are suffering so deeply. And yet…in true Jamaican spirit, what we see now is extraordinary — a nation rising together. 🇯🇲

The people of Jamaica never cease to amaze us — your strength, your laughter, your resilience, your ability to stand side-by-side and lift one another through anything.

At Christopher’s, you’ve always been our heartbeat. 💛
You’ve come here to celebrate life — birthdays, anniversaries, engagements — and together we’ve built something beautiful: a restaurant where we celebrate LIFE.

To reach your destination in Jamaica, you have a couple of options depending on your mode of transport.

**By Public Transport:**
1. From Montego Bay, take a local bus or minibus heading towards Ocho Rios. These buses frequently depart from the main bus terminal.
2. Request to be dropped off at the nearest stop to your destination in the area of Hermosa Cove.
3. From there, you may need to walk or take a short taxi ride to reach your final location.

**By Car:**
1. If you're driving from Montego Bay, take the A1 highway heading east towards Ocho Rios.
2. Continue on the A1 for approximately 45 minutes until you see signs for Hermosa Cove.
3. Turn onto the road leading into Hermosa Cove and follow it until you reach your destination.
4. There is parking available on-site for visitors.
