Our father’s obituary in the local Montauk paper. Both my dad and Donna, my brother Eric’s wife, and mother to Nicole and Noelle, who passed away two weeks before my dad, leave a huge void in our lives. We miss them both so much and are in pain, but we take so much comfort that we shared many wonderful memories together. Family was always first for both, and now more than ever. We often thanked God for all our blessings and we still do.
Georges Briguet, who founded three highly regarded Manhattan restaurants — Le Perigord, Le Perigord Park, and La Reserve — between 1966 and 1983, died of a heart-related illness at home in Montauk on July 26. He was 85.

It's with bittersweet emotions that we decided to close the restaurant last night. Le Perigord first opened in 1964 and we have served over 3 million meals to our dear friends. Three generations of our family have been fortunate to have had the restaurant as an integral part of our lives. We thank our hardworking staff, friends in the industry, and especially all our loyal patrons. We'll miss you all but have wonderful memories that will live forever.
