Tomorrow Night Sept 4th at 7pm
• Daniel Rodriguez Americas Tenor:
Each year, I’m honored to take part in 9/11 tributes—solemn occasions filled with stirring moments, cherished memories and deep gratitude for those we lost and those who served.
In that same spirit of remembrance, my wife, Marla and I, envisioned a performance honoring the resilience of New Yorkers and the enduring spirit of America.
And so, “Danny and the Divas” was born.
This Friday, September 4, at 7 p.m., join me and The Highland Divas Divas—Margaret Kelly, Georgia Johnson and my wife, Marla Kavanaugh —for an uplifting evening of inspirational music.
We’ll be performing at The Cutting Room, the legendary dinner theater and event space at 44 East 32nd Street in New York City.
Advance sale tickets are $22.68/$25 on day of the concert. There is also a $25 food and/or beverage minimum per person. Seating is first come, first seated.
As a sneak peak, here is a photo from a duet my wife and I sang to promote my CD, “ A Glorious Christmas.”
We look forward to seeing you Friday and sharing the songs we all know and love.

OMARI BANKS
Founding his inspiration through an eclectic genre of music, Omari went on to perfect his craft by writing and becoming a proficient guitar player. The budding star went on to win multiple talent shows but as a teenager turned his attention to the sport of Cricket, where he excelled first locally, then regionally and ultimately on the world stage. Omari Banks became the first Anguillan to play test cricket for the West Indies. In 2010, Omari made the decision to move on and pursue his passion for music. With a lifetime of experiences and life lessons, he immersed himself in songwriting and perfecting his musicianship. He dedicated himself to his music and created his debut album, “Move On” recorded in Kingston, Jamaica and Houston, Texas.
With a simple musical mission, to spread messages of love and consciousness, his assimilation of traditional Jamaican Reggae music, accentuated with Rock and Blues backbeats, is an adult contemporary fusion that blends seamlessly with Lovers Rock and R ‘n’ B. Omari has to date released several breakthrough singles, as well hit filled albums such as “Move On Deluxe Edition” and “Sunlight, all of them paired with a compilation of music videos with the hopes of reaching a bigger audience through a more global approach.
This bold global approach is a testament to the multi-award winning recipient’s drive and determination, despite the dawning of a musical journey that has only just begun.” I want to use the gifts I’ve been blessed with to have a positive influence on people. I can communicate to all levels of thinking from a child to an adult and my music is ageless and really touches lives because the stories are true and talk about what’s really going on.” - Omari Banks

Album Release Show
Alicia Witt
Between Heaven and Earth (and David Lynch)
Between Heaven and Earth, the haunting and deeply personal new album from Alicia Witt, arrives August 28 via Thirty Tigers. Recorded live in New York City with producer Joe Henry and a band assembled specifically for the project, the album exists in a space suspended between transcendence and intimacy, channeling what Witt describes as “eternal unconditional love” and “the place suspended between heaven and earth.”
The album was profoundly shaped by the influence and memory of David Lynch, whose impact on Witt stretches back to her first film role as Alia in Dune at age seven. “I can’t imagine who I would be without David Lynch,” Witt reflects. “He is weaved throughout the fabric of my life.” Throughout Between Heaven and Earth, Witt explores what she learned from Lynch “regarding love. The eternal nature of it, the idea that only love is real.” She describes his presence as palpable throughout the making of the record: “David was with us every day in the studio. All six of us in the band felt his presence.”
What all of these songs have in common is that there is no bitterness, no angst, no revenge, nothing resembling hatred or regret,” Witt says. “This is my offering. May it bring you exactly where you need it to bring you.”

THE TOM PRETTYS
The Tom Prettys may be pretty, but they also rock harder than Tom himself usually did. While still preserving the timeless essence of Tom Petty’s songs, the band delivers them with an energy and passion that leaves audiences shouting for more – the “Prettys” are just that much fun to watch, sing along with and dance to.
Dana fronts the band as Tom Petty and is responsible for whipping docile audiences into packed dance floors that she often joins. Sara plays rhythm guitar with authenticity and style, filling the sound and allowing Shayna to let loose on solos, often bringing the house down. Dunja holds down a key roll on keyboards, critical to making the songs authentic to Benmont Tench. Classically trained like Benmont, she holds true to the meticulous keyboard sound and rhythm of The Heartbreakers. Cass adds a deep clinical study of Petty’s two drummers, while adding a large part of the harder style of the Prettys sound, while also dialing it down on the introspective numbers. Karen on bass guitar joins Cass to keep the rhythm section steady, both of whom empower the front line women to kick some serious rock n roll ass from the opening number to the show’s finale.
