🌊 Happy 🌊
At Crave Fishbar, protecting our oceans isn’t just something we talk about, it’s part of our DNA. For the past 11 years, we’ve proudly partnered with the to help restore New York Harbor, one shell at a time. Through their shell collection program, we’ve diverted more than 300,000 pounds of oyster shells from landfills, representing over 6 million oysters served and recycled back into our local ecosystem.
Why oysters? Because they’re one of nature’s greatest environmental engineers. Oyster reefs create habitat for marine life, help protect shorelines from erosion and storm surge, and improve water quality throughout our waterways. 🦪💙
We’re especially proud that our co-founder, Brian Owens, serves on the Board of Directors of the Billion Oyster Project, helping support a mission that is transforming New York Harbor for future generations.
Today, Billion Oyster Project has helped restore more than 184 million oysters, recycled over 3 million pounds of shell, and engaged more than 30,000 NYC students in hands-on environmental education. Together, we’re proving that local action can create lasting change. Every oyster enjoyed at Crave Fishbar becomes part of something bigger.
Thank you to our guests, team members, shuckers, oyster farmers, and partners who have helped make this possible. The world is our oyster, and it’s our responsibility to protect it.
🦪 Here’s to cleaner water, healthier oceans, and the next 6 million oysters. If you want to make a difference please consider donating to today via the link in our bio.
