A note from Nancy.
Dear Friends,
For almost four decades, I have had the honor and privilege of being a part of our community. I have been fortunate to have had the support of our community in return. After 38 years, 4 at Szechuan East and 34 at Pig Heaven, I made the decision to sell the restaurant. Pig Heaven will continue under new ownership. This decision was not made lightly and it is difficult for me to say goodbye.
What a journey it has been, and through it all, it was your constant support and encouragement that carried me through all these years. I have often said that Pig Heaven was my home. I’ve spent more time at the restaurant than anywhere else in my life. But it’s not the amount of time spent that makes a place home, rather it is the people…all of you…that the time was spent with. Somewhere along the way, between family dinners, the celebrating of special occasions, the impromptu dancing when we had a band and the just popping in to say hello, we became a Pig Heaven family. There are no words to sufficiently express how grateful I am for that and for all of you.
Thank you for giving me the opportunity to get to know you and your families and for letting me and Pig Heaven be a part of your lives. The friendships and community that we have built is what I am most proud of and it is what I will always carry with me.
I would also like to thank the staff, many of whom have been with me for decades. None of this would have been possible without you.
For those that know me well, you know I will not be slowing down and retiring. While I am closing the restaurant chapter in my life, I hope to embark on new ventures.
For all the years, for all of the friendships and very many memories, thank you from the bottom of my heart. Please stay in touch, I’ll see you around the neighborhood.
With great appreciation and so much love,
Nancy
