THE END OF AN ERA
As our 30th anniversary passes, we have been forced to make one of the hardest decisions we’ve ever had to make.
Fauzia’s food cart will be closing on March 7th.
In the next two weeks we hope to see all of our customers turned family, old and new, stop by the cart, so we can end these last three decades serving you all with laughter and a smile. ✨
And we aren’t closed completely! We will be at Governor’s Island this season (May- Oct, weekends only) if you find yourself craving a jerk chicken gyro! As well as other festivals around the city. Keep your eye on our instagram for more information.
We are also available for catering! For catering inquiries, please contact us at hello@fauzias.
And lastly, if you’d like to bring the flavors of Fauzia’s home with you, you can find our Jerk Seasoning online at Fauzias.com
To everyone that has supported us throughout the years, thank you. The connections we have made with all of you will always hold a special place in our hearts.

Want to know a *secret*?
What makes our curry chicken so unique is the fact that we incorporate curry seasoning from all over the world, not just Jamaica! Every culture does their curry slightly differently, which speaks to the cultural diaspora that food is representative of!

Scotch Bonnet Pepper is the national pepper of Jamaica, and is the star of the show in our house-made Jerk Seasoning! These colorful peppers definitely pack a spicy punch but they aren’t just spicy, they also deliver lots of flavor as well!

Ever wonder what gives some of our dishes that rich *golden* color? It’s turmeric!
From our curry spice mix to our rice seasoning. Turmeric plays a massive role on our menu, speaking to the Caribbean, Middle Eastern, and African influences found throughout.
Doesn’t hurt that it has NUMEROUS health benefits as well!

The team stopped by our Bronx location recently! We chatted about the evolution of our family business and the communities that we serve.
For almost three decades, we have remained committed to our goal of providing our customers with food that our own family enjoys. “The thing about our menu is that you can see pieces of everybody in our family".
Special thanks to our support network that was there for us through difficult times and new experiences

Ruby Elaine Richards. August 16, 1948- March 3, 2023. 🕊️
The woman who started it all has left us, but her legacy continues stronger then she probably ever imagined, more then 3 decades later.
When my mother was mentally and financially struggling at her job, it was my grandmother who convinced her to try her hand at vending— standing beside her as she sold codfish cake and plantains at street festivals around Harlem.
When my mother was purchasing the commercial jerk seasoning that had no flavor or authenticity at all, it was my grandmother who encouraged her to make her own jerk seasoning— a product that has single-handedly put Fauzia’s on the map.
The strength, determination, and work ethic that Ruby Elaine Richards possessed is one that was so strong, it has reverberated throughout the generations that have come after her.
I am beyond blessed in knowing that I have my grandmother watching over me, guiding me, and forever supporting me to be the best woman I can possibly be.
We miss you, so much, and we love you.
