At 95 years old, the legendary Dominic Chianese from The Sopranos is still making the best calls in New York. ☕️🇮🇹
On his way through the city, Dominic turned to his friend and fellow musician John, who was driving, and said, “Don’t make a right. Make a left. I want to go to Veniero’s.” 🤌
We’re certainly glad they did.
The two friends spent the evening enjoying cappuccinos, sfogliatella, music, and plenty of laughter in the café.
For a few hours, the café felt like a little piece of old New York, filled with great music, good company, and stories worth sharing.
Watching Dominic and John jam together in our café was one of those special New York moments that reminds us why we love what we do. ❤️🍰

Today we lovingly remember Pasquilina, beloved wife of Antonio Veniero, on what would have been her birthday.
Long before Veniero’s Pasticceria & Caffé became one of New York’s most treasured pastry shops, Pasquilina was there helping shape its story, even working the cash register in the early part of the 20th century alongside Antonio Veniero himself.
Her spirit lives on through the traditions, family, and generations of love that continue to define Veniero’s to this day.
Happy Heavenly Birthday, Pasquilina. Your memory continues to be cherished always. ❤️

Today we celebrate a legend and officially declare March 26th as Founder’s Day at Veniero’s! 🎉 A day honoring our founder Antonio Veniero’s 155th birthday.
To celebrate, we’re offering 10% off all in-store and café purchases over $20 for two days only, 3/26–3/27.
Antonio Veniero arrived in New York with a passion for authentic Italian confections and went on to build one of the city’s most beloved bakeries.
But his legacy isn’t just in sweets, it’s in stories. At the turn of the century, Antonio once went to the Edison Company to help bring electricity to the neighborhood (14th to Houston St, from 1st to 2nd Ave). Told he needed signatures from 10 business owners, he got them and helped bring power to the area!
Around 1910, master bakers from Italy joined the business, transforming Veniero’s into the iconic pastry shop we know today and expanding the tradition to cakes, biscuits, and authentic Italian desserts that continue to define us. His favorite treat was our biscuits dunked in coffee ☕️

St. Joseph’s is almost here and the pastries have a story. Our zeppole and sfingi are fried to golden perfection and dusted with sugar, just as they were in old Naples to honor the saint and bless the harvest. Hundreds of years later, they’re still made the same way, ready for you to enjoy through Easter.

✨ St. Joseph’s Day is this Thursday! ✨ And we’ve got the classics ready. Our Sfingi and Zeppole are here for the season, freshly piped by hand just the way we’ve done it for generations. 🍒
❤️ Zeppole with Cherries: golden fried dough, filled with creamy vanilla custard and topped with sweet sour cherries.
❤️ Sfingi: deep fried dough stuffed with rich cannoli cream, sprinkled with almonds, orange peel, candied cherry, and powdered sugar.
These traditional pastries for the Festa di San Giuseppe will be available all week long, so stop in and enjoy a true taste of Italian tradition. 😋

Veniero's is a bakery, coffee shop, and dessert restaurant located on E 11th Street in New York. The history of this establishment is fascinating, as it was founded by Antonio Veniero, who came to NY from Italy when he was just 15 years old. After working in a candy factory downtown for several years, he opened his own shop at 342 East 11th Street. The quality of the ingredients used in Veniero's products has always been of utmost importance to Antonio, and this tradition continues today. For example, he would only buy Valencia almonds instead of California almonds because they were thinner and sweeter. This commitment to using the best ingredients has earned Veniero's many awards over the years, including ones from Rome and Bologna in Italy.
One particularly impressive achievement was when Veniero's made a carved cake out of Gumpaste that depicted The National Recovery Act, which won honors at the NY Exposition Hotel in 1933. This cake even garnered a congratulatory letter from FDR and the Secretary of War! During WWII, Veniero's shipped their famous biscuits to troops overseas as well.
Today, Veniero's continues to serve up delicious baked goods and desserts that are sure to satisfy any sweet tooth. From their classic cannolis to their decadent chocolate mousse cake, there is something for everyone at this iconic establishment.
