Over the last few weeks, for a select handful of nights, we have welcomed guests to “Table 55”, a six-course dinner cooked by Chef Dan, inspired by his favorite table in the dining room and featuring his favorite dishes from opening until now. These dinners have been a special tribute to everything that’s defined LP over the years, and we’re so thankful for every guest and team member who helped make them so special. This Thursday, we’ll host one last Table 55 dinner, this time for 50 guests in our private room. Although the dinner filled up quickly, we wanted to share a glimpse behind the scenes of Table 55 before we close out the series.
And there’s still time to join us for dinner before our final night of service on 7/14. Reserve at

After nine and a half years, we have some bittersweet news to share. Loring Place will close on July 14, 2026. We are just four months shy of our ten-year anniversary, and the truth is simple: rising costs have made this the necessary time to close this chapter. While it’s not the outcome we hoped for, we are so grateful for every year we have had and so proud of every person on this team, from our opening day until now, that has made Loring Place a fixture on 8th Street all these years.
This place has been home. To our team, to our regulars, to this neighborhood. And something like that doesn’t happen without all of you. We’re not done yet and we hope to see as many of you as possible these next few months. Come see us. Bring your friends. Share your favorite memories. Celebrate LP with us. The more you show up the better we can take care of our team and go out the way we deserve to. Every reservation matters to us. Every visit matters to us.
And to our investors and partners who believed in this restaurant from the beginning, thank you. Your support made every year possible.
There is still a lot of Loring Place left - Dan Kluger

What people say
New American restaurants have become increasingly popular in recent years, and Loring Place is a shining example of why. Located in the heart of Greenwich Village, this restaurant offers local and seasonal cuisine that is sure to impress even the most discerning foodies.
What sets Loring Place apart from other New American restaurants is Chef Dan Kluger's skill for creating dishes with unexpected but incredibly pleasing flavor combinations. The menu, which features small and large shareable plates, spotlights farms and farmers whom Kluger has gotten to know intimately over 20+ years of frequenting the Union Square Greenmarket.
But it's not just the food that makes Loring Place special. The restaurant's warm, effusive hospitality is a centerpiece of Danny Meyer's establishments, and it shows in every aspect of the dining experience. From the energy of passersby on historic 8th Street seeping through the front windows to the gorgeous refurbished tables made from original beams of the late 1800s building, every detail at Loring Place has been carefully considered.
Named after the street where Chef Kluger's father grew up in the Bronx, Loring Place pays homage to New York City in more ways than one. It's clear that this restaurant is a labor of love for Chef Kluger, who has cooked in some of New York's most beloved restaurants and is best known for leading teams at ABC Kitchen and ABC Cocina as Executive Chef (named Best New Restaurant 2011 by James Beard Foundation).
Overall, Loring Place is a must-visit destination for anyone looking for exceptional New American cuisine served with warmth and hospitality in a beautiful setting.
