What people say

Mediterranean restaurants are known for their delicious and healthy cuisine, and batata on Fort Hamilton Pkwy in New York is no exception. This cozy and inviting neighborhood restaurant offers a variety of Middle Eastern dishes, including mouth-watering falafel and sandwiches made with fresh pita bread. The owners, Shenhav and Deborah, come from a long family lineage of tahini and falafel makers, so you can be sure that the food at batata is authentic and made with love.

What sets batata apart from other Mediterranean restaurants is its fun and inviting atmosphere. You can enjoy your meal while playing a round of backgammon or listening to some great music by Otis Redding. The restaurant's name, which means sweet potato in Hebrew, captures the essence of what they have created - a place that is humble and nourishing but also a bit of a treat.

Whether you're looking for a quick lunch or a relaxing dinner with friends or family, batata has got you covered. They offer delivery, catering, outdoor seating, takeout, and walk-ins. So why not stop by this charming little cafe on Fort Hamilton Pkwy and indulge in some delicious Mediterranean cuisine? You won't be disappointed!
