We are officially back back at 📍276 1st Street, Jersey City after a truly disastrous ceiling leak.
To clear out the bad juju, we doubled down on the plants—outside, inside, everywhere. So if you catch us whispering affirmations to them, lighting incense, singing softly, or watering them with an unreasonable amount of love… mind your business. We’re healing.
Just know we’ll be right there with you, fully caffeinated and spiritually cleansed, once all the juju has been handled.

Around 4 AM this morning, our 276 1st St. location had water coming through the ceiling after a resident water heater upstairs burst overnight.
The fire department came by early this morning and shut the water off, and our landlord has been on site cutting into the ceiling and helping us assess the damage. We’ve been working on it since sunrise, but at this point it looks like 276 will be closed for the day so we can clean everything up safely and properly.
For today, please visit our 148 1st St. Jersey City location — just a few blocks away. Our team there is ready to take care of you.
And a very special shoutout to our founder, Spoorthi Kumar. First one on the scene this morning, helping coordinate, clean, and do whatever needed to be done to get us back up and running.
That’s Hidden Grounds in a nutshell: real life happens, we show up for each other, and we keep going.
