He gave me so much in his life. Unaided creative support and advice. Guidance in life love and all those messy things that fall in between. He was always so honest , direct and ultimately one of the funnest people I’ve ever know (even if it was such a dry dad kind of humor, lmao).
He’s had it so tough for so many years now, but always seemed to be able to see the brighter and more positive side of life. Even after surviving both twin tower attacks. He was an architect for the Port Authority.
I can still remember so clearly him taking us up to the observation deck of the twin towers in 1975, when I was twelve years old ( before it was open to the public).
They had been filming the King Kong and when we were in the plaza we could see the giant Kong body lying at the base of the tower. And if that wasn’t cool enough, when we got to the top and stood in between the columns and looked down from the observatory we could see it so tiny its ants(people) milling around it.
A perspective I will never forget. Perspective was his gift and he always shared that with me. I will always be so grateful for that and for having him in my life. I will miss him so and the light he always shared.
I love you Ronnie… please now rest in peace now. Know that your light still shines through all those you have shared it with. Our hearts are fuller because of you….
