Looking for vendors or just excellent cooks with an entrepreneurial spirit to participate in a Smorgasburg style food market in Rockaway. The market would only run on weekends (Fri-Sun Max 3 Days) but 7 day vending opportunities could become available for those businesses that draw a crowd. The location is high traffic already but come next summer the foot/car traffic should at least double. There is a very short licensing process, no need to own your own cart or truck and the participation/stall fees will be below market prices.

We will be closed today in addition to our normal day off Tuesday to try to get some important things done regarding our permit. If you love food trucks, saw how they can help New Yorker's like we did after Hurricane Sandy or just support a smaller less intrusive city government check out Street Vendor Project and the work they are doing. If enough people in our community speak to their local councilman we can build a better and more just environment for vendors and customers alike.

The world would be an ugly place without Fish Tacos and Lobster Rolls.

Alternatively, you can drive and park along Beach Channel Drive or nearby streets. Please note that parking may be limited during peak hours.
