It was located in the heart of Brooklyn's East Flatbush area, and prided itself on catering to each guest individually, using only top-quality ingredients for a flavorful experience. The restaurant had a welcoming atmosphere, with exceptional hospitality and chefs who exhibited incredible culinary expertise. Diners enjoyed a wide array of tasteful dishes and specialty drinks, along with daily Chef Specials, weekend brunches, and an extended Happy Hour. Unfortunately, VIVID Caribbean American Bistro has been permanently closed.

The right person for the job will help lead an up-and-coming Caribbean Restaurant. There is a lot of business and customers, but we need a Sous Chef who grow into a Head Chef that can cook our delicious food and manage the kitchen operation.

If you…

• Are an experienced sous chef who wants to grow into a business minded chef who is willing to lead a restaurant. You have at least 2 years of experience cooking exotic food in high pressure service restaurants.
• Has a great work ethic and has outstanding customer service soft skills.
• Meeting the expectations of our loyal customers.
• Have integrity, be accountable, respectful, and industrious.
• Willing to check inventory, mark items in need of replenishment, and take the lead in requesting certain inventory.
• Making sure the restaurant is meeting to its’ expectations.

You can take the M15 bus towards East Harlem 125th Street via 1 Av and get off at Avenue D. Alternatively, you can take the F train to the Delancey St/Essex St subway station and transfer to the M14A bus towards East Village/Stuy Town. Get off at Avenue D.

If you are coming from downtown Manhattan, drive east on Houston St. Turn right onto Avenue D. If you are coming from Brooklyn, take the Williamsburg Bridge and exit onto Delancey St. Turn left onto Pitt St, then left onto Houston St and finally right onto Avenue D.

Parking options:
There is street parking available on Avenue D or nearby streets. However, be aware of alternate side parking rules. There are also several paid parking lots nearby such as ParkRight Parking on E 11th St and Icon Parking on Franklin Ave.
