César is back in Nicaragua this week as a member of the international jury for this year’s . Together, they’ll whittle down the 25 finest coffees produced in this harvest which will go up for auction in June. The COE is a keystone event in most producing countries - providing a platform for bringing the absolute best coffees a country has to offer to a global stage.
For us, participating in Nicaragua’s selection is an important contribution to the progress and future of coffee quality in Nicaragua. It’s an honor to be a part of it.

LA EMBAJADA 🍒
Sergio Ortez’s La Embajada is the smallest and most remote of the three family farms he now runs. Situated high in the Mozonte mountains, the climate there is particularly cold and remote. The coffee ripens slowly and with some difficulty but the results are consistently exceptional.
