This Sunday at Plowshares: Benny Benack III Quartet
Peperoncino Jazz Festival
Join us this Sunday at 2 PM as we welcome our friend, neighbor, trumpeter, crooner extraordinaire Benny Benack III (https://www.bennybenackjazz.com) and his quartet to Plowshares stage which this year has partnered with the Peperoncino Jazz Festival! (https://www.peperoncinojazzfestival.com)
THE PEPERONCINO JAZZ FESTIVAL is an itinerant musical fair that for 25 years has been uniting countless local municipalities in the Italian region of Calabria, strengthening the ties between local identity, culture and sustainable tourism. Continuing a well-established tradition, this year the festival is back to New York for its “New York Sessions” bringing together the best of the New York and the Italian jazz scenes.
Benny Benack III
Emmy-nominated Trumpeter and Vocalist Benny Benack III (BBIII) has quickly become a leading voice in Jazz for his generation, headlining clubs and festivals around the world on the heels of his latest critically acclaimed live album “This Is The Life,” which has been garnering thousands of streams and topping the JazzWeek Radio Charts. He is the rare talent who is formidable as a fiery trumpeter -- ranging from Freddie Hubbard to Louis Armstrong and everyone in between -- while as a singer he delivers sly, mature, naturally expressive post-Sinatra vocal stylings.
Let's welcome Benny back home from extensive touring as part of the Jazz at Lincoln Center: Great American Crooners Tour and his just finished European tour!
