Dear salsa brunch community,
Recently we have gotten a lot of messages from you asking about the reopening of the salsa brunch so we wanted to address it publicly.
We have been monitoring the situation very closely, not only in the US but also worldwide. We didn’t feel like we could reopen safely, so we waited. Now sadly with the situation changing for the worse, we are now for sure going to wait until we feel comfortable with the situation.
We have thought about many different options to make sure everyone is as safe as possible but we came to the conclusion that it would be very difficult to check and enforce the rules. The nature of our event, combining two high-risk activities indoors makes this very tricky.
After learning about the recent developments with the new strain we believe that maskless indoor salsa events are NOT safe at the moment - even for people who are already "protected". We also want to avoid our event being a vector to spread the disease to a more vulnerable population through people that attended our event. We know that everyone's risk assessment is different, but as organizers, we feel like we have a unique responsibility to our community and their loved ones.
We wish we had more exciting news to share with you. We miss you all very much and are looking forward to resuming once we feel like it is safe again. Please take care of yourselves and your loved ones.

Dear Salsa Brunch community. In light of the latest development of the Corona Virus, we decided to skip our monthly Brunch (early April). We will keep you posted about the next event and hope that this situation will pass quickly. Stay healthy and see you at the next event. ~Annika & César

We want to thank you all for another great year of Salsa Brunches. Your support and good vibes mean so much to us. It has been such a pleasure to hang out with old friends, make new friends and watch this community and new friendships grow. This is why we started the Salsa Brunch and seeing it in action makes us very happy.
