Today marks the 11th year since we opened the West Village tearoom, do you believe it?!

This was an illustration done by LEO ليو back in 2017, when we turned 2. (We did color the balloon gold this year for Golden Ticket, hope that’s ok!). 2017 is when you had to explain what matcha was, let alone oolong tea from Taiwan. We’ve come a long way and it’s been quite the journey.

We will post a few more nostalgic vintage té photos this week. For the long time Té customers - what a blast from the past!! Our gratitudes to our guests, our team (past and present) and our partners from Taiwan. Thank you for making the last 11 years so full of joy. We couldn’t have made it this far without you. 🫶🏼🫶🏼🫶🏼

Vintage Té photo journey continues. There was a time we couldn’t open the tearoom for seating. When we finally opened for takeout on the weekends, we had lines, for the first time, going around the corner because New Yorkers were all going stir-crazy. We also partnered with Riverhead Books and did an outdoor book and tea reading event. Kenji played the guitar outside to provide a much needed soundtrack for outdoor seating. On weekdays, tearoom doubles as a fulfillment center. The sweet era of the pandemic. 🦠😀

Nostalgic Té vintage photo series #2:
Jan 2020, right before the world surprised us with a pandemic, we celebrated the year of the rat with a lunar new year breakfast and pomelo hats. Pomelo hats are typically a mid autumn idea, but this is before we even contemplated making mooncakes and sold only 1 cookie, the pineapple linzer. This is Kenji and An who we adore. 💚🦚
