DANIELA TRATTORIA, SAYING GOOD-BYE
AFTER NEARLY 28 YEARS WE HAVE MADE THE DIFFICULT DECISION TO CLOSE DANIELA’S FOR GOOD. WE HAVE SERVED NYC, TIMES SQUARE AND THE THEATER DISTRICT FOR A LONG TIME. WE WERE HERE FOR THE GOOD TIMES. WE WERE HERE THROUGH 9/11 AND COVID. WE HAVE MADE MANY FRIENDS ALONG THE WAY. WE WILL MISS ALL OF YOU. WE WANT TO THANK ALL OF OUR CUSTOMERS, WHETHER YOU STOPPED IN ONCE, CAME WHENEVER YOU WENT TO SEE A SHOW, OR WERE HERE EVERY WEEK. EVERY ONE OF YOU ADDED TO OUR STORY, TO OUR LIVES. YOU MADE DANIELA’S A FIXTURE IN THIS NEIGHBORHOOD.
TO OUR STAFF, OUR EXTENDED FAMILY. IN THIS BUSINESS FINDING GOOD WORKERS IS VERY DIFFICULT. IT IS A VERY DEMANDING PROFESSION THAT REQUIRES AN ABSOLUTE PASSION. YET SOMEHOW WE MANAGED TO HAVE THE MOST LOYAL AND DEDICATED STAFF AROUND. 60% OF YOU HAVE BEEN HERE FOR ANYWHERE BETWEEN 10 YEARS AND 22 YEARS. THAT IS UNHEARD OF IN THIS BUSINESS. YOU WILL FOREVER BE A PART OF OUR FAMILY.
THIS WAS NOT AN EASY CHOICE AND NOT ONE MADE IN HASTE. AS SAD AS IT IS TO SAY GOOD BYE, WE LOOK FORWARD TO THE NEXT CHAPTER IN OUR LIVES. WE LOOK FORWARD TO SPENDING MORE TIME WITH FAMILY AND SEEING WHAT LIFE HAS IN STORE FOR US.
FROM MYSELF, MY WIFE DANIELA, MY FAMILY AND THE ENTIRE DANIELA TRATTORIA FAMILY WE WOULD LIKE TO SAY THANK YOU AND GOOD BYE.
THANK YOU
CHRIS & DANIELA LAMOTTA

What people say
Italian restaurants are known for their delicious and authentic cuisine, and Daniela Trattoria on 8th Avenue in New York is no exception. This restaurant has been named one of the best Italian restaurants in the city by the New York Insider, and it's easy to see why.
One of the standout features of Daniela Trattoria is that they offer breakfast in addition to lunch and dinner. Their breakfast menu includes classic items like pancakes, omelets, and eggs benedict, making it a great spot for an early morning meal before exploring the city.
For lunch or dinner, there are plenty of options to choose from. The Caprese salad is a fresh and flavorful starter, while the Minestrone soup is hearty and comforting. The Eggplant Parmigiana sandwich is a vegetarian delight, while meat lovers will enjoy the selection of pizzas, pastas, and entrees.
No Italian meal would be complete without dessert, and Daniela Trattoria does not disappoint in this department. Their tiramisu, cheesecake, and chocolate lava cake are all delicious options.
In addition to their great food, Daniela Trattoria also offers free delivery within 15 blocks of the restaurant for those who want to enjoy their meal at home. They also host special events like banquets and private parties both on-site and off-site catering.
Overall, if you're looking for a delicious Italian meal in the heart of New York's theatre district, Daniela Trattoria should definitely be on your list.
