What people say

Starr Bar is not just your average cocktail bar and restaurant. It's a nightlife venue that celebrates and supports movements for social justice. Located in Bushwick, Brooklyn, Starr Bar offers a 2100 square foot event space with multiple seating areas, a large dance floor, a high-quality sound system, and a HD projector with 12x7 ft screen. The full bar serves delicious cocktails and drinks, and the kitchen will soon be offering food service.

But what sets Starr Bar apart is its commitment to social justice. They host parties, mixers, live music, art-shows, open-mics, karaoke nights, meetings, political discussions, fundraisers, film screenings and film shoots that support movements for social justice. In fact, 10% of bar profits go to support Mayday Space - their sister project that amplifies movement-building programming.

Starr Bar also has rotating art showcases on their walls and the friendliest staff you'll ever meet. If you're looking for a place to celebrate while also supporting important causes and movements for social justice in the community - Starr Bar is the perfect spot for you!
