🌙Ramadan Kareem🌙 🌟

The first Iftar is always so special, magical. ✨ Sambuxas and Fatayer (empanadas) were always at the center of our family’s Iftar. Precious memories of cooking with my Mama always rush back. Finishing the Sambuxas and with my siblings and father, immediately after breaking our fast and praying. 😂❤️

Mama always made us finish the shorba Addas (lentil soup) first, before endulging in the yummy fried goods.

As kids we always ended up with Abu Kabas (nightmares from due eating too much) anyways. 🤷🏾‍♀️😋

- Sorba 3adas: Lentil soup
- Sambuxa (feta cheese and ground beef) + dakwa Salad (peanutbutter salad)
- Samak (fried battered fish)
- 3Esh (Homemade bread)

Inshallah taftaru be kher 🌟 May you break your fast in good health Inshallah and Keep Sudan/South Sudan in yout prayers ❤️

🧡🧡Throwback of our Etsy Chef Residency 🧡🧡

Here our “Meet the Chef” video with Chef D**g from ’s team.

We made a play of Jolloff rice with Sudanese flavors and replaced traditional peanut heavy dishes with Tahini for everyone to enjoy.

The team showed immense passion and care for a seamless Luch serving our delicious food. As per usual the Sambuxas were gone in no time! Shukran PixieScout 👌🏾😋😂

I want to thank and for another unforgettable opportunity and giving us a platform to share about Sudan, our food and our culture. Can’t wait to be back. 🥰🙏🏾✨

Rating Sudanese desserts! 🇸🇩🇸🇸

First off where is the Kaak? The Ghoreiba? Where? Anyone who didn’t put Ligemat (puff puff/ doughballs) at number 1 is a blasphemer! Sudanese card revoked! 😂😝

Continue to keep the people of Sudan in your prayers. May our lands find peace and may we all return home safely Inshallah.
