A lot of y’all asked if we’d be selling cookies outside of EEEEEATSCON & we’re people pleasers so…
Chef Dave will be baking OG Chocolate Chunk cookies next week. Please DM us directly (or email) to order. 6 OG cookies for $25. Unlimited quantity. We will take orders until Halloween.
Pick-up will be at Nimbus Kitchen in Brooklyn on Nov 3 ONLY.
Reminder: We no longer have a bakery, nor do we plan to open one in the future. Pop-ups outside of festivals are rare for us so this is truly a limited time opportunity. ❤️

She’s baaaaaack!
Last year, our line stretched half-way down the stadium, the event ran out of line-control stanchions, and we sold out of errythang on Day 1. Oops 🫣.
This year, we’re stocking up, streamlining the menu & slanging cookies to the (hopefully not as cold) end. See you there!
PS: Let us know if you’re coming so we can say hi! It’s been a few months 😅

MAJOR UPDATE 🫡 AKA WE NEED A KITKAT.
Our mothers inspired our work ethic. They sure as heck didn’t raise quitters. That’s for damn sure. When running our pandemic-project-turned-life/business got rougher, we got tougher. But, as often does, our hearts soon followed and we found ourselves unable to love …ourselves.
We started Best Damn Cookies to tell Dave’s story. Investors don’t like helping restaurants without a LOT of prior success. Most chef-led concepts involve fifty-something-year old men, embittered by an unforgiving industry, treating no one with kindness, least of all … themselves. We hoped to change this failing model by putting empathy at the center of our decision-making.
Though successful, the cost was ultimately our happiness. We don’t recognize our choices anymore. They’re no longer inspired by kindness. Instead, fear holds our hand most fiercely.
And, so, we made the difficult decision. We’re closing Best Damn Cookies’ physical bakery . We’re going to take a break from July 1 until Oct 1. We’ll decide how we feel thereafter. The plan is to come back focused on pop-ups & shipping (). However, as we are but mice and men, we will make that decision when it is inspired by joy - as it was when we started biking cookies around Brooklyn in March of 2020.
In the meantime, we’re going to work through our backlog of content. So, my friends, gather around. The campfire is warm, and we make the best damn s’mores.
Warmly,

Roxane (one N not two!) came all the way from France to try our chocolate chip cookies. We may have been closed today, but that was more than enough reason to turn the ovens on anyway. I thought this particular cookie had her name on it…

Did a little podcast today with Yelp! Our amazing friend Morlene (and Yelp CM for Brooklyn) read us her review of Best Damn Cookies (we had never heard it before) and it literally brought us to tears.
We had so much fun talking origin story, ups & downs, marketing and cookies with friends, old & new!
We’re feeling goooood! Can’t wait to share. Stay tuned!

We’re on our last fresh-baked batch for the day! Shout-out to the lady who ran over and took a dozen immediately. We love you!
8 cookies left and we are calling it a day. It’s slowwww down in the basement! God bless Goldbelly. 😂
Keep those DMs coming. We’ve got pickup orders for tomorrow so we’re gonna sling a little something. Got an opinion? Lmk..

OG cookies available 1-5pm at Essex Market. Chef’s got a cooking class tonight that’s paying our bills. DM us if you want a larger order (6+). We might sell out early but it’s super-dead down here so maybe not. 🤷🏾♂️

Just dropped off more treats at Concrete Jungle (coffee x plants) off of Myrtle/Broadway. It’s the best coffee in the area and the plant collection is extensive (and not Manhattan priced). As a noted plant murderer (gasp!), I also recommend their repotting services.
David, the owner, also has the same ethos we do - be kind, and don’t sacrifice quality. He carries most of our cookies and also a few exclusives like passionfruit glazed carrot cake & vegan banana bread.
Let us know what you think!

Secret Cookie Plans starting May 1 2023
🍪OG Chocolate Chunk: shipped via Goldbelly (always), wholesale at select stores, maybe NYC delivery (working on it with our friends )
🍪All other cookies might be available at pop-ups depending on theme/seasonal ingredients mostly fall/winter (mostly based on holidays tbh)
🍪This will be the last month to order any cookie that is not the OG directly. You can DM us to order large volume - cookies can freeze 4 months. Does not apply to Pinole.
🍪No, we are not closing. We went through our P&L statements and are adjusting to what works as we promised our investors (AKA our family & friends).

We’re changing things up! Our hours at Essex Market will now be posted daily on our story. After spending three (!!!) years slinging cookies, Chef Dave & I will be workshopping a new project in the coming months.
Please DM us to confirm hours/orders if you’re traveling a long distance. We can make boxed orders (6+ cookies) in advance.
In the meantime, remains the best way to get your cookie fix nationwide as we shift our focus!
