Happy Birthday Allan and Delia! With the help of an incredible team, this hard-working father-daughter duo ensures we can enjoy our Caribbean baked goods daily. Allan turned 90 today and Delia turned 62 yesterday. At 90 years old, today, Allan started his day like any other day, at 4:30 am on the production floor and was still going strong until 6:00 pm today.

Zoom vs. Reality... Happy National Ice Cream Day!!!
For almost a decade, we brainstormed and played around with different ways to mix our love of ice cream with currant rolls, and we finally decided on Ice Cream Currant Roll Cones. Since our currant rolls have always been vegan, we wanted the ice cream to be too, so we decided on a vegan coconut or soy soft serve. More information is coming soon! @ Allan's Bakery

We donated 100% of the proceeds for every currant roll sold (including whole wheat and chocolate) to , , and . This weekend leading up to J'ouvert and the parades is one of celebration, but we would be remiss if we didn’t also celebrate the life of Bill Howard who helped ensure these festivities continued year after year.
Bill Howard was the president of , organizer of this weekend’s festivities, Shirley Chisholm’s personal and campaign finance manager, a leader in the black and Caribbean community, and to us, he was family.
Allan and Bill’s friendship spanned over 40 years ago. Allan “will always remember Bill. He was family, and a resourceful, intelligent, problem-solving, kind person. If you needed any help or anything done; Bill was the man to count on!” Throughout the years Bill was consistently there and appreciated by Allan's three daughters Cynthia, Delia, and Sharon. Bill’s impact on our family and community will live on. His presence, smile, and delight when he was handed our bread pudding will be forever loved and profoundly missed. @ Allan's Bakery
