time to check in on the beautiful 2010 Brunello di Montalcino Riservas 🕰 🍇 in particular the Ciacci Piccolomini ‘10 Santa Caterina d’Oro Riserva (not pictured) along with the Valdicava ‘10 Madonna del Piano Riserva which were both showing gorgeous balanced fruit and acidity 😋 🏰 🍇

🙏🏼 fond memories of restaurateur and Italian cuisine visionary Tony May in Calabria, Italy from April 2003 as he presided over a gastronomic ceremony we were fortunate to participate in. Tony May was a significant inspiration to us prior to and after opening our Neapolitan wood-burning brick oven pizza restaurant in 1996. He orchestrated food and wine cultural exchanges between Italy and America to promote trade and consumer knowledge of authentic Italian cuisine. Tony introduced the Napoli based pizza organization in the USA, Associazione Verace Pizza Napoletana (AVPN) along with the creation of Gruppo Ristoratori Italiani (GRI) to educate the public and focus attention on authentic Italian cuisine. This photo is from an educational trip to Calabria with industry and media members to learn about and experience their regional cultural and gastronomic environment. We extend our condolences to Hamila and Marisa, their families and friends of Tony. 🙏🏼🇮🇹🍽🍷
