Hello Friends & Neighbors,

In 2009, we embarked on a mission. Create an unpretentious neighborhood space and serve amazing food and natural wine. A space deeply rooted in our community yet somehow also transportive. We spent a year building that space with our own hands, filling it with things we love, down to the smallest detail. We opened our doors in July 2010 with strong coffee, a kick ass menu, and an all natural wine list. Our community embraced us and supported us from day one through each day of the decade that followed. Slowly and steadily our LIC Market family grew to include our all star front and back of the house staff. Together we worked our asses off. We had a lot of fun. We grew up a little. We threw up a little. We had our share of successes and our share of challenges, too. We always managed to pull through, carry on, evolve as needed. But this 2020 lunacy... this is something else.

We are very sad to announce that after 10 amazing years in LIC, we are closing our doors. Hearts broken. Hearts pulverized, really. But this is not a forever goodbye. We'll be in touch. You stay in touch, too. From now, through the other end of this madness and beyond.

Thank you so much to our community, our neighbors, and all of our friends and guests (and guests that became the best of our friends) for the years of support and great times. Thank you to our staff past and present for your tireless work, energy, creativity, and inspiration. We love you and are forever grateful to you.

Folks, keep supporting your local businesses. They need you now more than ever and no grown ups are coming to help.

Today’s the day, officially anyway. 10 years!!! We’ll be postponing our annual pig roast until a time we can all get together again. We want to acknowledge our neighbors and community for all the great times and years of support. Thank you all so much. 10 years? Feels like it’s been 10 minutes.
