THE LEROY HOUSE IS CLOSING MARCH 30TH
Almost 8 years ago, we did something our friends all thought was crazy, we decided to open a restaurant in New York City. Thanks to our many date nights in the West Village, as well as our absolute love of food, we had the good fortune to sample all of the wonderful neighborhood restaurants and were inspired to one day open our own. On one such date night, we went to a spot we would often stop in for a drink and an appetizer and discovered it was closed. We looked at each other and we suddenly knew exactly what we would be doing for the foreseeable future. 7 months later, and after a complete redesign and build-out of the space, we opened our doors to the neighborhood.
The Leroy House has been an absolute labor of love for us, and the fact that the community embraced us and helped turn our dream into not just a reality but a neighborhood hot spot that has been a staple of the West Village for 7 years, means everything to us. We thank our many regulars who have become like family to us, as well as our guests who would travel from all over New York City and parts beyond to come and dine with us. In fact, it was the community, and their passionate support of The Leroy House, that enabled us to survive the COVID years. We cannot thank you enough for all you’ve done for us.
We are closing our doors because our lease is up and our landlord is selling the building. We only hope that, whomever the new owner will be, he or she will allow another beautiful restaurant to inhabit the ground floor space we have loved so dearly. It has been like a second home to many wonderful neighborhood folks who live in this glorious little corner of the West Village, and they deserve it.
Saturday, March 30th will be our closing night, so we hope to see you sometime this month at The Leroy House for one last meal, one last celebration, and one last date night.
