Yesterday, The Late Show With Stephen Colbert aired its final episode. Soon, our East Village location will close its doors for the last time.

Two Boots hosted an inspiring benefit for WBAI/Pacifica radio and to celebrate the brilliant documentary about her called Steal This Story Please! Co-founder Phil Hartman created a special vegan pie for Amy, called Steal This Pizza, Please!
She was so excited to have a Two Boots pizza named after her! After the benefit, everybody walked over to the IFC center to watch the movie introduced by Rosario Dawson, and moderated by Peter Sarsgaard and Maggie Gyllenhaal! Thank you to our friends, Tia lessen and Carl Deal for making this very important, inspiring and brilliant film! Don't miss it!

We were honored to be part of an event celebrating the opening of an amazing new film, ๐๐ต๐ฆ๐ข๐ญ ๐๐ฉ๐ช๐ด ๐๐ต๐ฐ๐ณ๐บ, ๐๐ญ๐ฆ๐ข๐ด๐ฆ, about extraordinary journalist Amy Goodman, of ๐๐ฆ๐ฎ๐ฐ๐ค๐ณ๐ข๐ค๐บ ๐๐ฐ๐ธ; in her honor, we created a special vegan slice, ๐๐ต๐ฆ๐ข๐ญ ๐๐ฉ๐ช๐ด ๐๐ช๐ป๐ป๐ข, and Rosario Dawson () Maggie Gyllenhaal (Maggie Gyllenhaal) & Peter Sarsgaard (Peter Sarsgaard) all appeared at the event.

Philip Hartmanโs priceless artifact of New Yorkโs pre-gentrification East Village follows down-and-out jukebox operator Macabee Cohn, played with deadpan melancholy by David Brisbin, who wanders the cheap tenements, dive bars, and derelict streets of the East Village in search of a mysterious woman in a striped dress. NO PICNIC premiered at the 1986 Sundance Film Festival, where Peter Hutton won the Best Cinematography prize for his gorgeously evocative black-and-white imagery, working with producer Doris Kornish, Emmy Awardโwinning director Mike Spiller as assistant cameraman, animator Lewis Klahr as boom operator, Christine Vachon as assistant sound editor, with assistance from, among other notables, Jacob Burckhardt and Jeff Preiss. Scored by Ned Sublette, the soundtrack features The Ra**ch Hands, Fela Kuti, Charles Mingus and Student Teachers.
