Marvel Comics & Ippudo NY Announce Marvel Super Hero Ramen Pop-Up!

On Thursday, February 25th, and Friday, February 26th, we will hold a special event spotlighting Marvel’s Super Heroes!

During this one-of-kind pop-up, Marvel Comics fans and noodle lovers alike can watch as some of Earth’s Mightest Heroes “team-up” inside Ippudo Westside's secret second floor Ramen Bar, where Ramen Master Fumihiro Kanegae will serve his newest noodle creation, “The Avengers Interactive Ramen.”

Each customer lucky enough to score a seat will receive a special collaboration T-shirt designed by artist Matt Waite, and each bowl of ramen will be served with beverages selected and paired by Chizuko Niikawa-Helton of Sake Discoveries. There will also be other surprises in store throughout each seating.

“Everyone here at Marvel is thrilled that we’re able to collaborate with Ippudo on this unique event, one that spotlights the Marvel heroes in a way we’ve never seen before,” said Marvel's Senior Vice President of Creative and Creator Development, C.B. Cebulski. “This special bowl of ramen that Kanegae-san has created is not only work of art in its own right, it’s truly tasty too!”

“As one of Marvel’s biggest fans, I could not be more excited to honor Marvel’s Avengers in the form of ramen. I’ve had to carefully consider each character’s powers and personalities in order to select the appropriate ingredients to blend in our bowls,” adds Fumihiro Kanegae. “Now if only Marvel will lend me Iron Man’s armor to wear while cooking both nights!”

The event will be open to the public with a limit of 40 bowls of ramen per day. Seating will begin at 5:00pm on both days, and no reservations are accepted. Wait times may vary.
