For the past 7 years, Sugar Coated Bakery was my second home and many clients became great friends. I truly enjoyed being part of all your special moments in your lives. I have seen it through from many engagements to bridal showers, to weddings, and then baby showers and 1st birthdays. I have seen smash cakes turn into 7th birthday parties and many, many more special occasions in all of your lives. I would like to take this time to thank all of my loyal customers. I truly appreciate all of your love and support through the years. I will forever be grateful for all of my customers and the new challenges they always gave me to try something new and bring it to life. As much as I loved making everything for you, the greatest part of the job was seeing how much you all loved my work. My favorite was when people would say “it not only looks amazing, but tastes just as good”. That is something I will always be proud of.

Unfortunately at this time, I will be closing the shop. The last 3 years have been extremely hard for me and I did everything I could to make a come back. I drove all around Brooklyn and Staten Island delivering cookie kits during a pandemic just to bring a little Sugar Coated happiness into all of your homes. I put my all into doing everything to grow my name and reputation. I baked from start to finish all from my heart as I completed orders and truly believe in the phrase “with a little bit of love.” That is what I had for this business .. love and passion for my work.

This was not an easy decision for me to make, but now it is time for me to take the next steps for my future. I will still have limited availability upon request for some orders. Feel free to send a message or email.

It is with a heavy heart to announce the passing of my grandfather. Please excuse me as I take some time away from the bakery to be with my family during this difficult time. Rest easy Grandpa, I know you’re watching over me ❤️❤️

For those taking public transportation, take the R train to 59th Street Station in Brooklyn. From there, transfer to the B9 bus heading towards Bay Ridge Parkway/5th Avenue. Get off at 65th Street and walk about two blocks west.

If driving, take the Gowanus Expressway towards Brooklyn and take exit 23 for Fort Hamilton Parkway. Make a left onto 86th Street and continue until you reach 5th Avenue. Make a right onto 5th Avenue and then a left onto 65th Street. Parking is available on the street or at nearby parking garages.
