In memoriam
Earlier this spring, we lost a member of the Sea Witch family.
Twiggy Longnose Hawkfish, age 12, born in the Molucca Sea, Indonesia, passed away on the 4th of April in his home, surrounded by his loved ones and anemones alike. Always dressed in his signature orange plaid, he emigrated to Brooklyn through Noel the Fish Guy and quickly became an attraction at Sea Witch.
Twiggyβs greatest joy in life was perching on coral and sitting still. He was very good at not swimming and enjoyed eating plankton. He is survived by his ex-wife, Dooneese, and best friend, Bugsey.
In honor of Twiggy, a memorial statue has been constructed and put on display by Sea Witch bartender and artist Martin Boksar Martin
Private viewings are available upon request.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturdays at Sea Witch.
In lieu of flowers, the staff asks that you purchase liquor and shrimp tacos.

Sea Witch, located on 5th Avenue in South Slope, is a must-visit bar and grill pub in New York. With a wide selection of tap beer, wine, and delicious cocktails, Sea Witch offers something for everyone. Their creative cocktail menu features unique drinks like the Jamaican-inspired NY sour with El Dorado 3yr rum and Hamilton pimento dram, as well as the Rising Sun reminiscent of an orange julius. The Saladin is another standout cocktail that combines aquavit, tomato, grapefruit, orange, and lime juices with hot sauce and spices.
