Maple Pecan Shortbread by Gloria Breck
Available 12/3 (Sat) + 12/3 (Sun)
In-Store & Square Online •
Hi! My name is Gloria, and I am a cashier at Chef Katsu. These pecan bars are adapted from a Regina Schrambling recipe, contain maple memories from my college years in Vermont, and were borne of frustration (as some midnight sweets are). I hope you enjoy them!

Hi. I’m Iris, formerly prep at Chef Katsu. Now I’m front of house on Sundays.
I love to bake! The banana cream tart is inspired by Tartine in San Francisco, except there’s a bit of very harmless caramel in my interpretation. And the blueberry tart is inspired by blueberries being delicious and available at the market.
Enjoy! And say hi on Sunday or at :)
Iris’s 🍌 Banana Cream Tart + 🫐 Blueberry Tart will be available from 11/19 (Saturday) • available in store and square online only

Guest Patisserie Chef • Shinichi Tsutsui
Hi I’m Shin, I used to work at Chef Katsu as a cashier. Now having my passion towards cooking grow, I work as a cook in a restaurant in the city. The sweets I have here to serve is baked sweet potato cake where I got the idea from my childhood sweet potato pastry back in Japan. The recipe is very simple and made with the least amount of ingredients that the flavor of sweet potatoes is fully brought out.
Shin’s Sweet Potato Pie with Caramel Sauce is available from 11/11 at

If you're looking for a Japanese cafe restaurant in Brooklyn Clinton Hill, look no further than Chef Katsu Brooklyn. This restaurant is a hidden gem that offers a unique dining experience that will leave you wanting more. The food is simply amazing, and the atmosphere is cozy and inviting.
One of the highlights of Chef Katsu Brooklyn is their Supper Club, which they recently hosted for Valentine's Day. The 6-course Omakase curated by Chef Katsutoshi was an absolute delight, and the limited seating made it feel like an exclusive event. If you're lucky enough to snag a reservation for one of their future Supper Clubs, don't hesitate!
But even if you can't make it to one of their special events, Chef Katsu Brooklyn still has plenty to offer. Their fries are always a hit, and they're open for lunch and dinner every day except Monday. And if you're looking for something special to take home with you, they occasionally offer marinated ikura jars or whole rollcakes for pre-order.
Overall, Chef Katsu Brooklyn is a must-visit spot for anyone who loves Japanese cuisine or just wants to try something new and exciting. With delicious food, friendly service, and a cozy atmosphere, it's sure to become one of your favorite restaurants in New York City.
