Mother’s Day.

A steady beautiful chaos from the moment the doors opened. Families arriving early to request window tables, grandparents holding babies while waiting for reservations, little kids dressed up for dinner asking for Shirley Temples and extra fries.

The dining room stayed full all afternoon into the evening with generations sitting around one table celebrating the women who hold their families together.

One table toasted to a first Mother’s Day. Another celebrated a grandmother turning 90 surrounded by her entire family. We watched daughters become mothers and mothers become grandmothers all in the same room.

There were waits, packed foyers, loud kitchens, and nonstop movement all day long — but also patience, understanding, and kindness from the people who continue to support us year after year.

46 years later and Marina Cafe is still a family destination.

To every single person who spent their holiday with us, thank you for your unconditional trust and support. It never goes unnoticed. ❤️

To get to Mansion Avenue in New York, take the subway line 4 or 5 and get off at the 86th Street station. Then, walk east towards East End Avenue until you reach Mansion Avenue.

If driving, take the FDR Drive and exit at East End Avenue. Take a right onto East End Avenue and then a left onto Mansion Avenue. There is limited street parking available.

Alternatively, there is also a public parking garage located nearby on East End Avenue between 88th and 89th Streets.
